Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday to Yufen [28th June], Yuhui [29th June], Sean [29th June], Joleen [29th June] and Gina [30th June]!

Gee, I wonder why there are so many people born in the month of June?! Anyhow, my gang of babes celebrated Yuhui’s birthday in advance at Dragon Gate Restaurant on Monday the 27th. Located at Harbour Front Tower, in an inaccessible Lobby C, the restaurant makes the meaning of inconspicuous shine.

I wouldn’t notice that restaurant, let alone be passing by.

The restaurant served simple fare though its decor could be on par with the restaurants of 4 or 5-Star hotels. By simple fare, I meant that the food didn’t really impress me.

From the image above [which I edited in 2 hours], I wonder if anyone thinks that the food is delectable? They are just passable. Even their dessert is limited to 2 types, namely the red bean "paste" [which is not thick enough] and the honeydew sago. Not very impressive.

We paid $26 each for the buffet [served in an ala carte manner], and dare I say, we are but [small] nibblers? After my department’s dinner, I don’t think I can find anyone or group comparable to their voracious appetite!

I think the most tantalising thing would be… No wait, let me think… I can’t recall, but it has to be their fried buns? Hmm. Their service leaves much to be desired, even though their waitresses and waitors were standing some 2 metres away from us, they didn’t show enough initiative and responsiveness when that’s the very reasons why they were assigned their positions.

Seems like I’m a picky person who has nothing good to say. But I think their staff was relatively approachable [though not super-friendly] except for one cute, but snobbish guy.

Some of their other stuffs are quite nice, like the fried scallops, and whatnot. But I didn’t reckon it was worth the traveling though. Hehe. Had a rolling good time with my buds, even though the Blur Queen had us ready to puke blood anytime.

It was after a year that she realised I was attached. For someone who doesn’t reply her SMSes, I am hardly surprised. Laughs. I don’t mean that in a vindictive tone, by the way. =P

Anyway, we got Jurong Point vouchers for Yuhui, so that this indecisive lady can decide what to buy for herself. =P We got tired of deciphering whether she wanted, shoes, bags, clothings, etc. She made mention of some items, but later changed her mind, so we reckon the vouchers would do some justice. Plus, it’s closer to [her] home, and it wouldn’t be out of the way for her. =D We are so thoughtful! HAHAHA! Happy Birthday, Yuhui!

I’m looking forward to more celebration and photos, so will be blogging when the occasion rises.

Anyway, I clocked OT for the second time today, due to the fact that I was needed at a meeting with a vendor, who came in only at 6pm, when the stipulated time was at 4pm. They did inform us of the change in time, when they knew they couldn’t make it, but the inconsiderate thought of it just supercedes everything. I count myself lucky that my dinner appointments were on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. =)
