Serendipity

This must be some kind of flattery. Either that, it must be a little prank. Haha.

Anyway, recently I’ve been receiving a few Friendster requests to be "friends". These are my first encounters, and though I can’t be bothered to "make friends" in Friendster, I am somehow slightly amused that a person of my calibre, actually entice people to befriend me! It’s an ego-boost!

For the next person who’s gonna tell me that I’m nothing… I have this to say: I’m nothing less than beautiful. =)

The title kind of reminds you of a certain device from Creative, doesn’t it? Which also means that I would be editing my wish list soon. It is going to contain lesser things, I hope. =D Why have a wish list that may never, or take an awfully long time to fulfill?

Why have a list of items you would wish to receive on your birthday, but they are too dear to be given as a gift? Right, me and my inane mumblings. This is what goes on in my mind when I think too much. Haha.

Reason for this blog, is because I have just overheard some news that the department is going to be restructured very soon. I know that someone is leaving, but I was discreetly told that someone else is going to lead the department.

That person is the youngest [I'm not included]. But even though I made mention that her age is the youngest, I think she deserves it the most, apart from the other guy who was leaving.

I kind of foresee trouble coming from this shuffle. And it’s a horror to think if 7 years down the road, when I reach that manager’s age, I am still gonna earn $1k plus. How pathetic!!

I have two lunch partners, of which one hasn’t been contacting me. I think these few days she’s lunching with her colleagues instead. So this other guy has been initiating to meet me for lunch.

Come to think of it, I’m quite an amicable person. And I find that I do chat more with guys than girls. I wonder why so, when all my buddies are females.

I don’t mind the awkwardness in lunching with friends and their colleagues [whom I do not know], and this is vastly different from the situation as of a few years back. I would shun away from acquaintances even when they are as new to one another as me.

Though I still am anti-social when it comes to my own colleagues. Hehe.

Just now, the lunch partner called me up, and he was telling me regarding his job search through our agent. While he happily yakked on, I was thinking aloud, whether the phone call was recorded, due to the nature of his job. Then he said yes. I was like, "omg, byebye" so as to end the call quickly.

Why would anyone make private calls when you jolly well know that you are going to be recorded?! This is not the way to save money on your mobile bills!! -.-"
