Boring Sunday

This was taken from my Nokia 3230. Nice right! I love this photo the best, took this in Desaru Fruit Farm, JB. I adore the serenity as shown in this photo!! =P

I’ve learnt how to show my appreciation towards kind gestures. I’ve learnt to be contented and appreciative of the things around me. =)

The problem is, no one will know that you care for them, unless you do something or ask after them!

Took Friday off to accompany Dad to Alexandra Hospital, for some "small case" as coined by the doctor. So I was his Guardian for a day, but there was no anesthesia, so basically my "services" wasn’t needed actually. Gee.

Before his appointment with the doctor, we were looking for the canteen. He couldn’t eat, since he fasted from the afternoon of the day before.

So he was actively looking for the canteen for my sake! Aww, so sweet. =X Actually I ate something else, so I wasn’t that hungry, but in the end I ordered chee cheong fan! Nice, nice! $1.20 only, for two pieces!!

Then Dad asked whether I wanted a drink, and he went to buy mineral water for me. Aww. So sweet. I am easily touched by such teeny weeny gestures, really! =)

So it was a day of waiting, and more waiting. At least there wasn’t anything serious, for now, thank goodness.

When I came home, I went to buy lunch for the two of us and when I was walking back along the drain, he was watching me from above!

Reminds me of how I used to do something like that! Hahaha…

When my mum knew that my dad had asked me to buy lunch from across the street, she "lectured" him and said it was dangerous for me to cross the roads. -.-" I have a feeling that I’m still.. 9 [years old]?

Do all parents think of their adult children as kids?! I’m not complaining or anything, I’m seriously very thankful that I have a complete family, despite not being on very good terms with my sister. =)

And then before my bath, my dad warned me about the wet floor [since he used the bathroom before me]… "xiao xin di shang hua…"

It’s merely a simple phrase of caution, yet it means so, so much to me. The dad whom I’ve always thought of, as one without much expression, had put a smile on my face with his simple words of care. =)

So today is Sunday, which translate to ‘boring day‘ for me. But it’s good to rest during the weekends, for it helps to repay your sleep debts! =P

Almost forgot about the seminar I went on Saturday with Margaret. I’ve learnt a hell lot of things from there. Now I know the reason why some people would pay $1000 for a seminar!

The speakers were really good! =) Full of inspiration to me…

Just to share a few things with you guys…

4 factors of healthy living: Eating well, sleeping sufficiently, exercising and having positive moods!

Eating well means eating the right things in the right amounts. A lot of our modern diseases are caused by [the wrong type of] foods that we eat.

Sleeping must be done before 11pm, because that’s when the liver starts to work.

Exercising must be done at least half an hour per session, twice per week, and there must be perspiration!

Having sustained positive moods is actually quite hard, but just change your perception! =)

*****

A lady got her license a few weeks ago, and she was driving on the streets when her car broke down, at the traffic lights one day.

She was in her panic mode, since she has no experience in dealing with broken down vehicles, so she tried very hard to start her car’s engine.

Beads of pespiration rolled down her forehead to the side of her face, and the traffic lights kept changing from green to orange to red, and her car just wouldn’t budge.

Her panic self screamed anxiety when the traffic police [who was directing the traffic] came over. She half-expected him to lash out at her, but in the end, he said, "Lady, you still can’t decide on the colour you like?"

This made the lady felt slightly better. Later, there was this taxi driver who kept horning at her since she blocked the way.

She went back to his car, and asked, "Sir, I’m trying to start my car, and I don’t think horning will make anything better. If you insist on horning, why not you help me fix my car, and I’ll do the horning instead?"

*****

Moral: Sometimes you can make a bad situation better by handling it in a less angry way. We’ll always have our own share of shits that happen all the time, but like the 90/10 theory [where 10% depends on the incidents, and 90% depends on our reactions], there’s always a good way to deal with things in a positive way. =)

I agree. =)

By the way, happy birthday Jiahui, and Bernard. Happy Mid-Autumn to you guys as well. I used to adore Mid-Autumn so much, cause it was a time where my friends and I would be like kids again, celebrating the festival by playing together. I missed those times. Hehe.

I love you, all my friends. =)
