KTV at Cha Xuan

This was made from one of my display pictures in MSN. Nice right? If you enlarge the picture by clicking on it, you can see letters, numbers and special characters.

Yesterday after receiving a bombshell at work, which led me to be so despaired and bent on quitting, I went to meet my friends for dinner and KTV [my favourite activity!!].

I reached the place [Outram] earliest, and waited for the rest to come by. Noel and Dexiong messaged me at the same time, asking where I was. -.-"

And then as I walked back to Outram [from Pearl Centre, since I thought I could stroll for a while first], I saw Noel. Waste my sms!!! Since we met up before he read my message of my whereabouts. -.-"

The whole direction-giving thing, was a real mess. -.-" Dexiong insisted that we should meet him at the NEL control station, for it was nearer to Cha Xuan, but we [Noel, Yuhui and I] went for dinner at Burger King first, that’s why why chose to alight at East West Line’s control station.

It’s funny how Yuhui knows directions well, and the 2 guys doesn’t. What’s the world coming to?! LOLs.

That stupid girl [just kidding, Yuhui!] was meeting someone else later on, and so she had to leave earlier. By the time we went to meet up with Dexiong [an ex pen pal], it was already 8 plus. So that girl left before warming up her seat. -.-" Gee.

When I heard a few of them sing [especially the girls], I was so stunned. Superstar is nothing. The girls there can really sing! So many people in the world, even in Singapore, can sing! Especially the girls!!

Yuhui left before it was our table’s turn. Wonder who’s she meeting? =D Poor girl, she was being read like a book by that Noel. Oops, I’m not supposed to blog it down. Muwahaha. Or rather, I’m not supposed to tell her! =P

Lalala~

Dexiong’s another friend came by much later. I think her name is Catherine, if I am not wrong. She brought a friend along, so I think most of the time she only talked to her friend ah…

There’s one cartoon character, an Uncle who seemed to be a regular there. Basically he "flirted" with a few girls there. -.-" Gee. But it’s because of people like him that makes the place happening. Else, people would be stuck in their own seats with no interaction at all. Come to think of it, he sort of behaved as though he was the boss [but I think he knows the boss, being a regular there].

I was damn nervous for my first song, after hearing how some people there sang so well. -.-" My nervousness was like so darn obvious!!! Sang "xin bu liao qing" for my first song, and then I could hear my heart thumping. -.-" Gee.

Noel was like telling me to relax [like how?!] and to pretend they are all invisible [like how!?]. My hands weren’t shaking, but my voice was trembling. -.-" So paiseh.

The Uncle came over, tried to "gan bei" with me, cause he said I sang well! -.-" Cartoon lah him.

After singing one more song, it was more or less OK for me. I need to warm up to soothe my nerves.

Dexiong was like telling me that he couldn’t sing, but he sang a little better than most guy friends of mine. His friend Emily is quite a good singer too! Everyone sings so well!! Hehe… I love KTV sessions with people who can sing well! It’s a big enjoyment!!! Oh yah, I wonder why Emily thought I was Noel’s gf? *wonder*

Noel’s first song was "ta lai ting wo de yan chang hui" by Jacky Cheung. I was rather taken aback when he opened his golden mouth. First time I heard him sing at KTV. It was like 10 times much better than he sounded over the phone, and 20 times better than his 4 a.m. version of his Jay Chou song. LOL.

He said he was nervous singing too. -.-" He sure can hide well. -.-" Think out of all the guys there, he probably sounded the nicest. Aww.

He will clear 5 rounds of that Partyworld KTV competition easily! Without much effort!! His audition and homen’s second audition is on the same day!! Same time!!! Same place!! One stone kill two birds ah. Maybe I should stick to being part of the audience, and save my $20 registration fees. =D

Lalala~

First time I enjoyed singing duets! Usually I’ll sing duets with girls since I don’t have much guys friends. Rather, all my group clicks consist of girls.

Sang "ni zui zhen gui" with Noel. Actually Emily and Dexiong sang first, it was nearly 11pm then, almost the time Noel and I were going off, so we suggested that we share the song with them.

NICE!! I totally enjoyed that song!!! *melts* Singing duets, is a matter of coordination and chemistry. Okay, so I didn’t know the tune well. -.-" Made a few mistakes here and there, but overall, it was great! Noel, ni jiao dao you fang!

My second duet was with Emily, and we sang "lian ai ping lu". I envy those who have wide vocal ranges, and she was one of those. So in the song she took on the guy’s part, and I sang the female part. It was atrocious for me, for it was the first time I sang that song. -.-" Totally disastrous. Haha.

Noel was like trying so hard to guide me towards how the tune went, but still, the blockhead me couldn’t really catch it lah. -.-"

By the way, why do all guys love to talk about NS and army stuffs? Given the position I was seated [wedged between the 2 guys in a straight row], it was like there was 2 loudspeakers on both ends! Haha. So funny. -.-" [Note for the slow: I'm being sarcastic, hehe.]

Overall, the place was quite alright, but towards the end of our stay there, smoke got into my eyes. -.-" Crappy Noel was like saying, "Now you know where the song ‘Smoke gets in your eyes’ comes from…" Duh!!

Oh yah, by the way, I drank Blue Lagoon. It was one of my favourites, other than Snowball. =D I love cocktails! Woohoo!

Stayed there till 1 plus. Emily stay near Tiong Bahru, so she left in a cab first. The 3 of us, Dexiong, Noel and I, were like "debating" who to drop off first, since we all live in the west [Bt Gombak, CCK and JW respectively]. Imagine 3 direction-idiots trying to figure out this little directional discussion.

So I let the guys do their jobs, instead. I was happily on the phone, chatting with that Yuhui who was happily staying out [with who ah? =P], near that 24hr coffee shop near my place. -.-"

I was dropped off first! Muwahaha. Yeah, blame me for living so far!! HEHE. Nice. I look forward to more such KTV sessions!! Woohoo!

Something happened along the way which affected my mood a little. Singing can really take my mind away from worries and negative thoughts, but it sort of came back with just that few SMSes.

My mood’s certainly better now, compared to the past 3 months. But am I really happier than before? I certainly hope so, I don’t want to remain sad forever. I don’t want to tear daily. I finally understood what it meant, when people said, "love is not about possession".

Don’t lie to yourself in order to reassure others. =) Be yourself.

I’ll still be there for you as a friend, if you ever need me. That’s my promise to you. =)
