After hearing some good feedback about the show "I Not Stupid Too", I’ve been wanting to watch it at the cinemas. Nowadays, my mum is the one who’s always asking me for movie dates from time to time.
Previously, I watched Fearless [Starring Jet Li] instead, because there weren’t many tickets left.
Finally, yesterday I got to catch that critically-acclaimed film, directed by our local talent, Jack Neo. In case you are unaware, he’s quite a good actor and cartoonist too.
Frankly, it’s a show worth watching again despite the stigma of it being a locally-produced show. The funny bits are really funny, especially the part they made use of computer graphics to demonstrate how parents talk to their children, and how bosses talk to their subordinates.
Two-thumbs up, I would say. If I’ve more thumbs, I’ll prolly raise more, but two are all I’ve got. Heh.
The heart-wrenching bits are tear-inducing. It’s the first show I’ve went to, that I cried more than thrice at different scenes. It’s the first show I caught, that I actually noticed people around me crying. It’s the first show I’ve watched, that I’ve heard more tissue paper sounds than mobile phone sounds. First show I’ve watched that I got disturbed 5 times during the show. -.-"
Although some scenes were a little clichéd, they were not really expected. Parents who watch this show would be able to realise that they need a key to connect to their children. Funny how adolescents our age would be able to think and feel in the shoes of both the parents and the children, but when we have kids of our own, we overlook this issue. Thought-provoking, isn’t it?

Just before the show, I was window-shopping with my mum at Jurong Point [coincidentally, some of the settings in "I Not Stupid Too" were in Jurong Point]. Saw a pair of soft-sole shoes at "ba pin", a store next to the cinema. Found it quite nice, although feedback was that it was too expensive [$39.90] and not worth it. I guess 5% discount doesn’t suffice at all. We’ll see how. =D

It’s been so long after my CNY celebration, and I’ve yet to post about my Malaysia trip. Guess the photo above acts as a spirit-lifting one, isn’t it? My office is pretty huge, and the lion dance troupe actually went from department to department to perform as well as to collect angbaos [red packets].
There were only 2 lions, by the way, whose skulls were embossed with 4 numeric digits. *drools*
I wonder whether I’ll get beginner’s luck if I buy 4D this weekend? =D
