USB

Update: I’ve just received this URL from a friend. Using 30 USB Ports, you can actually cook BBQ meat! OMG.

**********

In the past, USB ports used to be heavily used by notebook users. Personal Computers that used PS2 [not Play Station 2] to connect to printers, monitor, etc was considered upmarket at one point in time.

Then the plug-and-play USB technology took over the world quietly, and it has become the universal connection from port to port.

Okay, I may sound stupid at some point in time, but please note I’m not a tech-savvy person. Though some colleagues and friends think that I’m a gadget-girl. =P But you’ll be surprised how much of a technology-laggard I am. :D

Anyway, I do know that apart from computer peripherals, other things such as mobile phone charger, bluetooth earpiece charger, etc uses USB technology as well. So you can charge your beloved phones in the office/school without having to plug into any switch.

Fan
Then we have some smart people who came up with USB desktop fan…
Ingenious?!

Lamp
And desktop lamps powered by batteries OR USB power.

But the Ultimatum came about, when I saw this:
Cup_warmer
A USB-powered Cup Warmer!

It’s amazing how much power a USB port can generate. But I supposed you’ll tend to use more electricity this way, hehe. I was just kidding with my colleague the other day when I saw the cup warmer at a nearby stall…

"I wonder if that warmer can be improved, such that you can cook eggs/instant noodles on it!"

Haha. Very funny. -.-"

But I won’t be surprised they turn the electrical stoves/Microwave/other electrical appliances into USB-powered, though it’s too far-fetched and dangerous.

This tells you one thing:
People are getting more and more stuck to their computers.
